...what he was trying to say? Eric Holder accused all Americans of being cowards when it comes to frank discussion about race.

Many questions on Yahoo! Answers express fear that Eric Holder was attacking only white people, not all people.

Doesn't that rather nicely illustrate what Holder was trying to say: that we react in fear to frank discussions about race?

Last time I checked the Attorney General wasn't in charge of who I spend time with.
He can leave the lectures for his children.

Yes, they are. But at the same time I think he overgeneralized to the point of pain. I think it would have been much more effective to speak more positively about it in the first place. Nobody reacts well to whining or finger pointing and that's exactly what it sounded like.

I talk about it with no problem. He most certainly talking about all races.
Nowadays, the word racism is a made up word. It is a word thrown ever so quickly into the ring over just about anything. Does it stand for what it once did? not by a long shot.
The chances a person has, does not rest on the color of their skin.
It rests solely on their ability to excel. A persons circumstances do not define them. Does the person have the determination to do what it takes to get out of their circumstances?
People may claim, that they come the wrong side of the tracks.
And?
So have a lot of others that have made it.
I hope people will stop using the race card as an excuse, or to get a free ride. Find out what your talents are, surround yourself with people of like minds, and dig in. You will achieve and succeed.
To BA: How can you stand to think that way?
excuse the expression, but that is an ignorant way of thinking

Why doesn't he try and do some actual work. I remember that a** clown from the Marc Rich pardon.
