Are the rumors true about death note becoming into an american remake?

it may be true, since Warner Bros. studios now has the rights to the live action death note. but that doesn't mean that they will for sure. but odds are, they will.

I have seen a video on the internet of an interview with with Zac Efron stating that he liked Death Note and rumors have now spread saying he will most likely be Light (Raito, Kira.)

They say that Warner Bros., is going to remake it and will probably be release in 2011. Which will suck if it do remake it

Its been optioned, meaning incredibly probable, Dragonball had been optioned about 4 years before its releases, so it really takes some time. Since last year this has been one of the biggest supposed anime Hollywood makes (Full Metal Panic being the other). So nothing official yet, just a lot of Hollywood whisperings and gossip. Still the most favored actors are Zac Efron for Kira and the main Twilight guy for L......................hah what a joke. I dont care about Light, and as for L, either Joseph Gordon Levitt or bust.
