...going to hell? There were some journalist somewhere that they were kidnapped, but the people let them go because they renounced Christ and embraced Islam.


So are they going to hell?
 
The kidnappers are obviously idiots aswell then as Christ is the most quoted prophet in the Qu'ran.
 
Yes if they do not repent and ask God for mercy and proclaim Christ they will go to hell for denouncing Christ.
 
I'm a Universalist, so I tend to think everyone will be saved, through Christ's perfect sacrifice, just as did some of the first Christians like Gregory of Nyssa. It's my theological answer to the question of who is saved. How will it happen? That, I don't know. I just think that ultimately, "mercy triumphs over judgment." (James) I have yet to read scriptural proof of the permanency of hell. So, hell is temporary. . ."measure for measure." (Luke)
 
If it meant keeping my head attatched and being released, I'd tell those murdering goat herders whatever they wanted to hear.
 
Hah - this is how Islam is spread throughout the world.

Jesus said "But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven." Matthew 10:33

However, notably, Peter denied Jesus 3 times and still went on to repent and serve God.
 
There's no hell to go to. Besides, what difference does it make which silly collection of myths you believe when they are all just silly myths.
 
When a chap with a beard and turban hold a gun to your head and want you to convert to islam what are you supposed to do ?

only if they remain Muslims. God knows what's in their heart. But they shouldn't have done that and died as martyrs.
