Are there any good adult fiction books in the horror or sci fi genre

without sex in it? I'm looking for something that is horror or science fiction without sexual content in it or kids being hurt or dying (I'm a mom) I'm battling mental illness & I'm looking for something to read that won't trigger any problems for me. thanks.

Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time is an awesome series and sex may be implied, but it is not graphic.
