The tyre rule changes are as below

Personally I disagree that this will be good for the sport. the removal of the cut slick or intermediate tyres are dangerous regulations in undetermined weather conditions. I refuse to accept it will make closer racing. as different bikes react differently to the same tyre. but the tech guys should eventually level that out. I also think it will reduce tyre development. I have to admit that the grip levels are already amazing (the lean angles are unbelievable) But I think there should be a continuing development programme in GP. Time will tell when we get some unsettled weather, and riders try to stay out on slicks.
the only other thing worth mentioning is the extended life of the engine which comes in later after laguna I think (not certain) this is supposed to be a cost cutter, but the big boys will develop stronger materials to meet this deadline which will cost.
I think there was a couple of other small things but cant recall them at the present.
Edit ..... found it
