Are 'they' going to discontinue cd+r and dvd+r?

I went to Best Buy today to find some CD+R's, and they guy said that "they" are going to discontinue the "+R" everything (no one is going to manufacture them anymore). I didn't believe him and just gave him a weird look, does anyone know anything about this? Is this completely false or is there some truth behind it?
 
Well number one there is no such thing as a cd+r. You mean cdr which is a blank cd. There is no real difference between a dvd-r or dvd+r. All dvd drives read and record to them. This is a non issue.
