are you allowed a hammock on a cruise?

i am going on a cruise soon and i will have a balcony cabin, so i want to take advantage of that and was wondering if am i allowed to put a hammock up SAFELY of course (im not going to put one up so that i can fall off the side of the cruise ship!) it would only be a small single one :) (without damaging anything or running the risk of tripping etc)
 
It depends if you will be able to hang it up and where about you want to hang it, also depending on if it will affect other people. You should check with someone first and see how possible it is to do this!
