...that you just met? i recently joined a new college and i met this amazing guy in college two months ago and we're seeing each other. my college is really small with only 200 students and his ex girlfriend is in my class. they have known each other for about 3 years and he still talks to her more than he talks to me. it kinds bugs me that they are still so close and when i hear from other people in the college that they used to make out, cuddle, etc even after their break up, i feel unsecure.
is he ever going to be closer to me than he is to her???
are you guys closer to your friends that you have known for long than your recent girlfriends?

Not gonna lie, i would be concerned. I causually tell him this, but not jump on him about it. Tell him you understand that he is still good friends with her but you want to know if you should be concerned that he talks to her more than you still.

The longer you are with him the closer the 2 of you will get, it's a time factor.

I can understand you feeling insecure because a similar thing happened to me & i used to feel like he was going to go back with her cos they talked all the time. It's a horrible feeling & i don't think he realized what he was doing to me or how i felt but i have to admit i used to wish she'd just move as far away from us as possible cos it was driving me nuts!

Like i said before it just takes time & the longer you are with him the more he'll confide in you & not her. It's only because they know each other so well & you & he are only starting out, so try & stay strong (not easy) & let time take it's course cos if it worked for me it can work for you. Good Luck!
