...private businesses like AIG and GMC?
Government has no money of their own, they take it from citizens. So if the citizens own AIG and GMC, shouldn't all decisions about how its run be put to a popular vote in special elections?
No I am absolutely not in favor of it, but when it has already been done.....the government should spend that money wisely and disallow bonus and other compensation for complete managerial failures.
Those companies came begging....they got what they wanted despite it being completely unwise....now the government owns their asses and the government should act like it. A clear signal must be sent....accept government bailouts and you get what you deserve.
