MMA is prize fighting in a controlled environment with street-effective techniques not allowed (eye jabs; small joint manipulation, kata, chi, pressure points) in front of screaching ticket buying $$$$$ fans with a referee as witness. The bouts are prearranged so the fighters can practice, and mentally & physically prepare themselves for ceremonial combat that proves nothing. MMA is not the definitive test of any martial art.

Funny thing is that fishing is by far the most dangerous sport out there.

There are some boxing guys that will write articles that MMA sucks. The John McCain statements happened in the mid 90's.

Actually I do not know of any, however having read some of your other answers I can tell you that people such as yourselves heavily contribute to the image of MMA's as idiots and conceated boys.

there are several people who train MMA on here, such as Judomofo and clowns, that present themselves as classy, respectful martial artists. In fact all of the guys that I know actually train, because they answer more then just the best styles questions, are generally very respectful and classy.

The only people that I see act like you are the people that you can tell don't actually train, just by their answers.

Put it this way...people like Juni Browning are the biggest detriment that MMA's have in the eyes of most people.

Here's one,

M"MA" is two pairs of shorts away from gay snuff porn. It's not a real martial art and could barely be considered a sport. Combat sport indeed. More people die each year playing golf than they have in the history of M"MA".

Disrespectful enough? lol.
