is what they are having? Recently I decided to become a vegetarian because meat is unhealthy and it also started to gross me out. So if I go to a family function or somewhere they're serving meat, is it ok if I eat it in a social setting to avoid a scene? I just don't want to be rude and refuse to eat whatever they are serving, especially since I eat other things on occasion that are unhealthy like chocolate and ice cream. I also find onions gross but I will eat them to avoid a scene. So is eating meat the same scenario?
I also hate the idea of animal cruelty and killing but at someone else's house it's already dead so that's not really an issue.

you can eat whatever you want. killing animals is not cruel... how do you think people survived sooo long ago? there was no such thing as tofu. if you want to eat some meat just do it.
