I was introduced to computers for the first time in first grade. Throughout the first eight years of school, we spent about two hours each day working on computers---one hour for learning how to operate them and one hour for learning other subjects through the technology. Unfortunately, that emphasis has not been carried over into high school thus far. However, using computers for research outside of school is absolutely necessary.
