monsters they think we are? I understand it is frustrating dealing with Christians here but why would they even consider anything we say if we are full of insults and put downs? I have done the same and I regret it when I let my emotions get the best of me. I think if we show what atheism has to offer which truly is freedom of mind and heart I think more Christians might consider that their beliefs suck and maybe being an atheist can lead to a more civil and reasonable society. It seems that most atheist i meet or talk to are empathic in real life and care about others and don't judge in the long run. We seek to understand rather than condemn human behavior.

We all know that certain human behaviors that are condemned by Christians such as premarital sex affect them greatly and that they deal with guilt constantly. Maybe if we show them that certain human behaviors and desires are healthy and normal they will be tempted to drop their beliefs and come to the lighter side of things.

I know if we really want to educate them we can't be condescending and rude, why would they listen to us if we are so rude to them? I think we should try to remind ourselves everyday that many of us were once like them and more than likely it wasn't the sarcastic atheist that convinced us, it was the humble philosophers and the straight reason and facts of science.
