Usually when a theist makes an argument for God, they automatically assume it is the God they believe in. Not only do they have the burden of proof to demonstrate their God claim is true, but they must then provide evidence that it is the God they've chosen to believe in. To make a statement "nature did not create anybody, God did" is just an empty assertion and actually contradicts what science knows about nature. All a theist can do is provide excuses for why their claims don't stand up to pure observation. To say "God has not called you yet" can be turned around on them because there have been over 3000 different Gods invented by men throughout history. You could simply say "the God Zeus hasn't called upon you yet, so that is why you don't believe in Zeus yet". In this context, we see how absurd their argument is because we can apply it to anything someone doesn't believe in. The same with the rest of their arguments. You could replace "God" with "Magical Fairies" and their arguments would still be just as valid. As humans, we are capable of believing anything (real or imagined). It can be difficult to sort out real from fantasy because of what we can consider true or as evidence. Many theists say the universe is too complex not to have an intelligent designer. This can sound very logical and supporting for the concept of God. Just because it seems impossible for nature to be the sole creator, doesn't mean that it's not. We also have tons of evidence that supports nature alone could be our sole creator. It is because the theist wants to find supporting evidence for their God that they don't consider the other possibilities for what they consider evidence. It is this last reason that it's not wise to argue with a theist. They are not concerned with where the evidence really leads, they have already made up their minds to where the evidence leads, even if you have a very logical argument that contradicts their conclusion. There are many ex-theists, but they have to find their way on their own. They can not be reasoned with until after the fact of becoming an ex-theist, then it becomes crystal clear. It is great that arguments and stories get posted on the internet because when a theist does start to notice the cracks in their beliefs, it gives them a support line to help them through the tough transition.
