whining like you religion will stand? You guys are so smart, but a Jewish Carpenter who lived 2000 years ago will outlive you and all of your generations at a minimum in a spiritual sense and has made a greater impact on the planet then all atheists who have ever lived combined. How does that make you feel? Yucky?
Oh Manhattan thanks so much for apologizing for me! Can you say brown noser/suck up?

Religion has had too huge a cultural impact to vanish, it is true.

One day it may lose its relevance. I don't mind either way; I'm not an anti-theist.

it makes me depressed in the human race.

also, lots of religions will still stand. voodoo included. rastafarianism probably. in fact if you think about it, atheisms only been around a few hundred years, and its already made a big enough impact that youve got pissed off enough to write that question, so how does that make you feel, yucky?

Well we'll have to see about that won't we.

Jesus is a story not a real living thing. Things could have been different and maybe we would be worshiping Mithra, Zeus, Horus, Krishna, etc. Your religion won, because the people who fought for it won.

It doesn't make me feel anything, we will have to see if your religion can survive another 2000 years.

And Buddhism will stand long after you die, and guess what? Siddharta Guatama has long 'outlived' (I use that term extremely loosely) your Jewish Carpenter. How does that make you feel? Icky?

Who's fault that even long after there will be enough idiots to believe in that overrated fairy-tale?

Better men and women than me have had to live with that thought, distasteful as it is. If it was good enough for them, it´s good enough for me.

But no religion lasts forever - eventually, it passes to the realm of myth. So it shall be with your beliefs system.

Humanity was around before the first god was created, and will endure until the last god has been recognized for what it is - an idol.

Hehh. Just realized that when the last Christian dies... peacefully, of old age, I hope... nobody is likely to notice. It will pass and pass forever, like a silent fart.

But `atheism´ will exist always and forever and can never be stamped out, because it is the default - even if every last person in the world was a staunch believer, it would only be a matter of time before someone would start to question. With the inevitable conclusion.

I like that. We literally cannot lose. Not forever. You can´t win from gravity.

I hope all these atheist's kids become preachers and ministers and when the atheists die, they are given a religious burial by their kids.

"A house divided against itself cannot stand." - says the book of your religion with 35,000 denominations.

Techilikey is right, and actually the Easter Bunny has been around far longer than Christianity anyhow.

Calm down. Are you looking for an answer on Y!A. Guys/Gals, I'm a Christian and I apologize for Jonn. This keeps the battle going.

I'm not that concerned about being famous and living forever. That seems to be a shortcoming common among some believers.

No I'd feel sad that mankind can still not let religion go and stop it from dividing them.

I think plenty of atheists have made amazing impacts on this world, impacts which didn't cause things like the crusades or witch hunts!
