Atheists, is atheism a religion?

If no, WHY DO YOU SPEND SO MUCH TIME ON THE RELIGION CATEGORY on yahoo answers? If yes, read a dictionary.
 
How does atheists talking about other religions make them a religion? We're opening your minds from your delusion and saving lives in the process. Someday, you may understand my last sentence.
 
It's not. I do not spend much time on the Religion Category, I'm on All Categories. :]
 
Atheism is not a religion.

Why do I spend so much time here? This is not the religion category, it is the religion and spirituality category. Spirituality has nothing to do with religion. Indeed, in many cases they are mutually exclusive. People who devote so much to a nonexistent supernatural super being do not give of themselves to others.

Also, even though I have no religion, it is forced on me by my government and activists:
I am taxed to pay for the church
The Queen is the head of the Church
The leaders of the Church sit in Parliament as of 'right' and rule over me
I get people banging on my door telling me I'm bad.
There are laws that tell me what I can and cannot say; what I can and cannot do which are religious laws.

That is reason enough to be here.

Also the continuous attack on people who have no religion or/and superstition.
 
ur absolutely right, if ur not religious then u cant be interested in religion, thanks for clearing that up for me

Because this is the only category that addresses atheism, cupcake. Methinks thou doth protest too much.
 
The same reason that people spend a lot of time on the cats section, to ask and answer questions about cats, not because they are cats.

Even if you had to follow a religion to be in the R&S section (which you don't because this is a free forum)
Atheists can still seek spirituality.

And because this section isn't exclusive to religions. It's for ASKING and ANSWERING questions that relate to religion. Dur -.-
 
Atheism is an absence of religion. We don't spend that much time in the religion category (at least I don't), we're just very outspoken and opinionated about it.

Deal with it.
 
Atheism is not a religion but it certainly is a belief system just as "unprovable" as any other belief system.
