liberated yet find life meaningless? I tried so many religions and in the end they all seem so fake to me, from preachers who don't believe in the Bible, to Muslims metaphorically treating the qur'an like toilet paper. Then Buddhism which is just depressing, Hinduism a weirdo cult full of scam artists and sexually perverted racists.

The only religion I got a good vibe with was Mormonism and Shia Islam, but I can't get myself to believe in either.

I read spiritual books from an atheist and secular humanist perspective but they are phony too. And the Unitarian-Universalists are abunch of unhappy depressed confused chaotic people who want to impose there views on humanity rather than let people believe and do what they want aslong as it isnt hurting anyone.

I read Taoists books and get some degree of comfort in the logic in a lot of it but in the end it's just a more positive search for truth from a humans perspective.

So now I have no goals in life, I'm alone, paranoid, no friends, bored, hoping to die before I'm elderly, thinking all women are whores and users, desiring human contact, abusing my psych meds to get high when the depression and boredom becomes unbarable. I hate other atheists for being whiney, arrogant, self righteous, basically no different than religious people.

I am not blaming atheism, I just feel I am missing something that maybe all of you may have found that I did not.

Liberated, yes. Meaningless, no. You need to find something to pursue to fill the void that was formerly taken up by the false promises of religion.

"yet find life meaningless"

You appear to be suffering from a cranial-rectal interface.

My life is far from meaningless.
