...ROM change and 6870x2 or 6770? I recently found an ATI Radeon HD 6870x2 (the PowerColor one) at a computer store and I was wondering if it's compatible with the following PC hardwares and software I also searched:
ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z motherboard
Silverstone Strider Plus SST-ST50F-P 500 Watt power supply
Intel Core i7 3.4GHz processor
2 pieces of 4GB DDR3 RAM
Western Digital 2TB hard drive
64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium
From what I can recall, the 6870x2 costs 18,500 in Philippine Pesos while the first ATI graphics card I found, the Radeon HD 6770 costs 5,635 Pesos.
I have two questions: first if the 6870x2 is compatible with the following software and hardware specs I have currently planned on purchasing. Second is if I should also change the DVD ROM from my old desktop since I'm changing a lot of my desktop's old hardware and software for better ones. Last is if I should save up for the 6870x2 or stick to the 6770.
