Hey
First let me thank you for taking the time to read my question and for any helpful answers you may give
So here's my situation, I just passed the assessment date on Thursday and successfully been accepted into the Army. My shipping date is on September the 20th and my PFA(Physical Fitness Assessment) Is scheduled roughly month earlier ( 24th of August). The PFA requirements for the Army is 15 Push ups, 45sit ups and 7.5 on the beep test.
Here's my dilemma, no it's not what you're thinking
, I can do all those fairly easily. However I know that the PFA is nothing compared the likes of what Kapooka is going to be so i wish to use these next 12 weeks to the best of my ability to further my overall fitness and strength capabilities.
My main issue is that im still carrying around an extra 10-15kg's that i shouldn't be(6"4, 107kg's). I started training in March shortly before I started the process to join the ADF. Since then ive gone roughly 125kg's and barely being able to get 6.0 on the beep test, to being able to get just over 9.
Recently I moved out past Kilcoy, to Rural queensland, with my parents. Resulting in me leaving my job and being unemployed. At the time it seemed like christmas had come early,(f***ing hated Woolworths). However my body had adjusted to working 38 Hours doing a fairly physical job (Stacking shelves and what not). So now that I've left my job I have a pretty big physical exercise gap from what I used to be, however i now have more time. In the past i was running home (2km~) from work 5 days a week, going to gym roughly 2-3times a week (hours sessions mostly resistance training) and maybe once a week I'd ride with a mate (roughly 20kms~, bikes broken now). Also at nsit ups'd be doing situps as that was a problem area(worked my way from 10-15 assisted crunches to over 50 now).
Since my relocation all I've been able to do is really run, as im fairly remote. So everyday ive at leastying to do atleast a 5 km fairly fast aroundog ( takes arround 30-40mins) and every 3 or 4 5km's runs id do a 10km run (120~+mins). However now that i have weights i intend to do them every day, targeting different muscle groups, hopefully in addition to running.
I don't think that's enough tho D: Any advice/recommendations/hints/ANYTHING would be helpful (bar spam/trolling) Thanks again for any help!!!
