Average lifespan of a 2000-2005 toyota celica gt?

I was wondering if anyone knew the average lifespan for this car, cause I am looking to buy a used one but my dad thinks that about 100,000 is too much and that the car will start to break down and will just be a waste of money. I have read that the car is very reliable and I feel like it will run well over that without breaking down. If anyone has some estimates of its average lifespan or personal experience with their own celica that would be great
 
That would be difficult to answer unless you knew how it was maintained. Those cars can go 300+ only if maintained good. But any Toyota with only 100,000 miles is a good thing. It's broken in then.
