I came with my family to Australia to seek for a better life without being oppressed- for democracy. Freedom of speech. Freedom of media. Freedom to select whatever government we want. The freedom to choose. The freedom from brainwashing ads, news, documentaries, TV programs, textbooks, PROPAGANDA.
I came here in 2006. We were happy- no speeches given by government officials to brainwash us. No more propaganda. No more internet censorship. We had freedom of speech! It was a miraculous feeling. For the first time in my life I saw people protesting online, on the streets, in front of the Parliament without the getting arrested.
But I have a hunch that it's disappearing. Fast.
I don't know the meaning of the 'advertisements' for the ALP I've been seeing on TV. Neither do I know the meaning of the *coincidental* documentaries of the Liberal Party's Fall Or Similar every single night on telly, the odds of the new "Freedom of Information" laws.
If only someone could explain for me? To prove that I am not being over-sensitive?
And can someone explain what the hell is this?
