Recently when I was using my PS3 it was on for about 5min. and then it suddenly beeped at me 3 times really fast then started flashing a red light at me. After that I couldn't get it to start up. It would be at standby and I when I turned it on, only the green light would come on for about 2 seconds then it would flash yellow once and beep 3 times at me like before, and then continue to flash red. I noticed that the blue light wouldn't turn on like normally and there is still a game CD inside it that I can't get out right now. Could the blue ray drive be causing the problem for why its doing this? I also took the blue ray drive out and took the cover off so I could see the top of the game cd in it and when I power the console on the cd wont spin and it seems like there is no power going to the blue ray drive at all.

I've also gone through the console before and cleaned it about a year ago and put new artic silver heat sink compound on the CPU and GPU heatsinks so I don't belive its an over heating issue that caused this.

Any ideas? Thanks!

You've got the YLOD (Yellow Light of Death). It's a hardware issue, and can be just about anything. You'll have to get it fixed or just get a new PS3.

In this case, since you said the drive won't spin, then that's the possible cause. Though it could be something else causing it not to work

If you want it fixed, the best option is to take it a repair shop or send it to Sony. Otherwise, it's scrapped and you'll have to get a new one.
