A new blog is going against the enemies of those in the service industry: bad tippers! The blog, 15percent.tumblr.com, is getting a ton of traffic and is getting hotter and hotter by the day. If you give a bad tip, don’t be surprised if the blog puts you on blast. The blog posts evidence (receipts, mostly) of bad tippers and also posts tips on how to properly tip.
Personally, I find tipping to be tricky. Sometimes, a dollar or two is appropriate. Sometimes, even tipping 20% is too cheap. I usually just ask the person what they think is fair. But even then, a lot of people won’t ask for the appropriate amount.
