Battery Ah for Honda Shadow 1100?

Hi, I am in the process of buying a battery for my 1996 Honda Shadow VT1100. I was at a local store yesterday, and the battery guide suggested a 14Ah battery, but my stock battery is 16Ah. I know the dangers of putting a battery in with too high of an amp rating, but would it be a big deal going from a 16Ah to 14Ah? Would it just be a matter of making sure it starts and gets the power it needs to operate?
