Hey, Im a 19 year old college student looking to get a sport bike to get around campus. I am completely new at it though so Im not gonna be unrealistic and say is an R1 or ducati 848 good to start on. I just want a simple 250 to get started but if i buy one im gonna be keeping it at least through the rest of college. so any suggestions for the best quality and best looking 250 bikes to go for.
I already know the about the Ninja 250. any other suggestions? I see the Ninja 250s everywhere.

Does it REALLY need to be a sports-bike???
There are better bikes to learn on.
Any newer dual-sport would be my recommendation, as they have a more 'standard' seating position to learn on.
But if you are dead set on a sports-bike, the Ninja 250.

The nionja 250 is your best option really, however for a student it couild be a rather pricey option to get a decent one.
Have you considered buying a 400? honda, kawasaki, suzuki and yamaha produce them.
However a "Supermoto" might be better for you.
More comfertable, cost less to maintain and can generally hack winter alot better than a sports bike.
Also there is a wide range of 250's out there in supermoto trim.

a ninja 250r 2008 and up. any year lower and they look like crap
or a 2009 and up hyosung 250gtr. im not for sure if they have a lower year but they are just as cool as the ninja 250r
