Best beginner sports bike?

Ok we'll I'm trying to get in two wheels in the street. Love my mustang but I don't wanna slam miles on it commuting to work. I was researching the ninja 300. People say its great. But I'm 6'3. People said anyone over 6ft it would be awkward for. Opinions?
