Best Mac DVD burning software?

hi im trying to burn a few DVDs, but i dont know any good software or applications that will aid me in doing this, so could anyone suggest a free application that can format a disc, burn a movie or audio file onto a disc? i will try iDVD now, but could i please have suggestions-
