The most courageous person at any Midnight Madness across the nation on Friday night was Wagner forward Josh Thompson's mother. She stood in the paint facing the rim during the Seahawks' dunk contest and blindly let her 6-foot-5 son leap over her and throw down a vicious one-handed jam. It could have ended badly for Thompson's mother had he failed to clear her cleanly, but to his credit he did it with ease. The result was a dunk that was not only the most spectacular of the night at Wagner but also by far the riskiest.
