I am a 17 year old female with a need for speed. I have a mustang cobra, but now i want a street bike for the summer because my mustang isn't the best for gas. I am going to take the motorcycle safety course, and before you start talking crap about me being a girl, believe me when i say I know what I'm doing. Also, im about 5"5' and only weigh about 105 pounds with my motorcycle jacket on. So any GOOD suggestions are appreciated :)
Thank you!

You didn't say how much experience you have on a motorcycle. The number one cause of death on a motorcycle comes from sportbike riders with less than a year of experience. Females are over represented in motorcycle accidents. Don't ask why, but as you know Males are over represented in automobile accidents. These are the facts. So, despite what you think of your own capabilities it is still recomended that you start on a motorcycle that was designed for the beginer. The fastest entry level motorcycle is the Honda CBR250. Next fastest would be the Kawasaki Ninja 250r. The Honda will almost do 100mph. If that is not fast enough for you and you start on a 600 or larger you are ignoring the statistics and well on your way to becoming one. The advantage of the CBR250 is it gets about 85 mpg and will help you learn clutch and shifting while not being overly dangerous. I would give the same advice wether you are male or female.

ive always been a fan of suzuki GSXRs real dependable..go for a 600 maybe a 750. Lot of power look great too.
