I talk about way too many people let alone my own friends. I'm sure I appear as a two-faced person. But when I hear something about someone, I HAVE to listen, and tell the next person, or at least give my input. I know it's wrong and I've read verses and all that. I go to school with a clear mind and tell myself I'll strain from gossip, but either something pops in my head that I have to say, or someone brings something up. And that's how my day begins and ends.
Okay, to better explain what my question is... how can I resist gossip and become a better person? How can I still keep my friends without indulging in gossip?

P.S. I DO have a hobby, thanks. Actually I have many. But the plain fact that school, right now, won't let me graduate and so they give me pointless classes, I have many chances to talk during the day...

I struggle with the same thing, and after trying hard to stop, I've realized that I really can't stop it by myself. You need God's help. He says in 1 Corinthians 10:13:

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Whenever you're tempted to gossip, remember that God wants to help. Just ask Him for a way out.
Also, try turning it into something positive- say something good about that person instead or change the subject. You could try keeping a journal and writing down what you want to say to get it out.
