Better Sci-Fi trilogy The Matrix or Star Wars?

there about equal,
both trilogy has 1 good movie and the other two suck
matrix 1 is awesome, but 2 and 3 were terrible
star wars 3 was good, but 1 and 2 werent

It's a tough call. If it was the old Star Wars (episodes 4,5,6) then I would say Star Wars hands down. But if it's the newer Star Wars (episodes 1,2,3) then I'd have to give the edge the Matrix trilogy (especially because the first Matrix was so good).

In my opinion, The Matrix has to win this because as a diehard original triology fan I was just not happy with the new triology. Although the second and third Matrix movies did get progressively worse the first one was awesome.
