bigger tires on a GMC yukon?

i have a 97 gmc yukon, and i want it to sit a lil taller! and i know you can put in a lift kit and everything, but i dont want to spend that much money! i'm short on cash right now! so the tires on my yukon are 245/70/r16. i was thinkning about buying new tires but going with a 265/75/r16 or 275/75/r16! the question is how much taller will it be? 2-3 inches taller? and will it throw my speed moditer off?
 
You can run a 285/75R16 without a lift. They were available with a 265/75R16 from the factory.

The tire is a little taller and is a little wider. It wont be enough of a difference on your final speed to make you need to worry about your speedometer reading being off.
