Bike jargon buster required - What is the difference between…?

first off there are 2 parts to an exhaust system on a bike.

The header - which is the pipe that comes from the head of the engine and carries gasses from the engine through a tube -

then it is collected into a muffler (can) where there are several baffles and insulation packing that are used to quiet the engine noise through the exhaust.

The bigger the header expantion is the more power you will make.

The less packing and free'er flowing in the *can the more power you will make.

Inside the can there is a spark arrester, this stps fire sparks and flames from leaving the exhaust system
