Birds falling out of the sky, fish dying? Sign of the end times!?

End time events tend to be of global proportions. Gulf oil spill perhaps, global warming, worldwide economic collapse, definitely that type of thing.

Yea! He promised his disciples that the end of times would come in their lifetimes and here we are 2000 years later still waiting. It's about time birds started falling from the sky! I'm betting that Jesus comes in the form of a global plague or world famine in 2050. Currently we are trying to feed house, clothe, and provide fresh water for a staggering 6.7 billion people. By the year 2050 there will be 9-billion people on this planet. 70% or the population of the world is currently living below the poverty level. 85 to 90% will be below that level by 2050. With most of the world starving. something really bad is about to happen. Get ready to bend over and kiss your butts good bye!

could be pointing to the end times, but there are a lot more definite prophecies being fulfilled to let us know we ARE getting close. Matthew 24 is where Jesus told the disciples of the signs of the end times.

" For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled:for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes,in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax could. But he that shall endure unto the end,the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."(Matthew 24:5-14 KJV)

So, to answer your question I think we've gotten closer but, no I don't think it's here just yet..We are near the end of time. I guess one might say we are in the last days but not the very last days.I hope I spoke clearly to you.God bless!
