black rimmed glasses on asian?

I'm an asian teen with medium dark olive skin and dark brown eyes and practically black hair. i was wondering if black rimmed glasses would make my skin tone appear darker and it appears as if you have a black cast under your eyes. (my friend told me this) I don't know if this is true or not, so if black doesn't work, what other colors would work and look nice.
