I got a Storm in December, and it was doing fine. But if I pull the battery out or if the battery dies, it never turns back on. Well, it does, but has major consequences (the last time this happened, it turned on and was reset to factory settings, I lost all contacts, memos, calendar appointments, important texts). This most recent occurrence happened yesterday.
I was on the phone with my sister, and when I hung up, the screen wouldn't light up. The convenience keys at the bottom light up, and the red blinking light indicated I had a text, but the screen was unresponsive. I did a battery pull, but when I put the battery back in, the red light came on, went off, the convenience keys lit up, the timer came on, and the screen went black again. I pulled the battery again and connected it to the charger, and a green light came on, the timer popped back up, and went to sleep hoping it would turn on again. 9 hours later, It was still black. I have connected my device to the Desktop software, and it is still unresponsive. The timer pops up every 1 out of 30 times, but otherwise, the blackberry loading bar screen doesn't show up. Any suggestions?
Oh and you should also know this: I do not want to do a 'Wipe' or a 'De-nuking'. I have valuable contacts and information on there, and I wish to get a different solution before I go to the extreme of performing that.
