Blueray player owners--loading time question?

I have hesitated to buy blue ray as my regular cd player seems to be good enough quality for me and I have heard that it takes longer for blueray to load. Is it a long time to load or just a few seconds longer than cd's? Thank you for answering.

It use to take quite a long time for the blu ray disc player to load and play. The newer model now takes just a few seconds to load and play. I purchased a new OPPO 93 Blu Ray disc player and it takes only a second or two to load. Panasonic is one of the most reliable player in the market today. I own a first generation player model BD-10 which is 4 years old and played over 300 blu ray disc movies with out having one problem. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on players. Hope this will help you out.
