I have bought a bluetooth dongle

However it doesn't seem to be working for me. When i put it in my usb port (ive tried all four ports) it doesn't work. Nothing installs at all. I've had a dongle before and it has worked on the same laptop. Does anyone know why the new one isn't working. Seems kind of strange.
