Bluetooth headphones PS3 sounds (not headset) maybe via iPad? Possible?

I want to listen to the sounds from my PS3, not just voice chat, on my Bluetooth headphones - is there any way to do this? Or maybe is there a way to go via connecting an iPad? I have tried connecting everything up but no success so far. Not sure if i had the settings right though.
I know the PS3 Bluetooth signal is only for voice and not game sounds, there must be some work around?! Any ideas appreciated
I do have cable so I can listen to the tv with corded headphones, this is what I'm trying to replace. I want something I can either plug into the TV but doesn't need to be removed each time - a blue tooth transmitter of some kind, or ideally something that stays in the PS3 and transmits, or a way of sending all the sounds via bluetooth headphones. Want to avoid having a lead trailing across the floor and also ideally to avoid having to keep plugging something in and out of the tv - seemed like a simple idea but apparently near impossible!

If I'm correct in understanding your question I think the only way that's 100% is to plug your headphones into your tv, but I would be happy to be corrected if anyone knows a better way.

You may just need normal headphones but it'll mean you can hear the game sounds and it won't be heard by anyone else in the house.
