Bluetooth keyboard on ipad keeps turning off..Why?

I bought a case for my ipad with a bluetooth keyboard and after 30 seconds of inactivity the keyboard shuts off and then to turn it back on again i have to hold a key down for 4 seconds, then it waked up then i can type.

While im working id like for it to stay on for at least 15 minutes before shutting off. Is there any way to make ios not turn off the bluetooth icon for 15 minutes minimum?

I have the same problem, but I wouldn't say it's every 15 minutes.

I'm using the app downcast, and using an A2DP bluetooth connection to a Jawbone era. Intermittently, it'll stop playing audio in the headset and when I open the bluetooth settings, bluetooth is off.

The only thing I have noticed otherwise that might be related is that downcast lets you play back podcasts and faster speeds (which uses more CPU). If I'm listening to a podcast, and then also have the ipad do something else (update app in the background, or open another more intensive app downcast will pause playback and I will have to go back into the app and hit play. I'd assue that there's an iOS setting that says if CPU usage goes above x% then freeze app that's using the processor a lot.

Maybe it's somehow related to the bluetooth turning off.
