Bluetooth mouse problems? Please help me!!!!!!!(but ignore this punctuation mark->?

I usually know my way around computers but I dont understand this: I am running a MacBook Pro 15' from 2011, but I am still using a mighty mouse from early 2009. Up t know, it has worked great, but snce yesterday the mouse won't show up on my computer. I tried restrating the mouse, changing batteries, heck, I even bought a new mouse to see what was the problem! But nothing worked. Right now I am stuck with 2 bluetooth mice that won't show up( before you ask, yes, bluetooth IS activated). Please help me !
I did not purchase applecare. I'm still tight on money after this computer so a 213$ protection plan? No thanks!

Do you happen to have a bluetooth enabled phone? If so, see if you can connect to the macbook via the phone's bluetooth. That would at least narrow the problem down to the macbook and not the mice.

One really wierd cause could be radio interference. Bluetooth uses the same 2.4 GHz band used by wireless routers and cordless phones. For fun, try moving your mac & mouse to a room far away and see if that makes any difference.

MBP's come with a 1-year limited warranty, so if you can identify the laptop as the source of the bluetooth issue, it's covered even without the Applecare plan.
