Do you like an author to make a known being(aka, angel, vampire etc) their very own completely different version of it, but still call it the same thing(I believe the word for it is misnomer)
Umm, how can I explain this better,
Like let's say--- I don't know, angels, instead of winged creatures, the author makes them the little fuzzies that fly around in the air, that you can never seem to catch.
Like the character is called one thing you've heard of, but it doesn't resemble the original being.

I do not understand what the question is but good luck to you =)

i think it is much better when they give it a different name, but either way works.

It depends. Sometimes it feels wrong because they are changing something that they didn't even create; someone else did. But it does show originality and that the author is trying to stay away from any cliches.

If you'regoing to completely change it, why stop at the name?
