boosting wireless internet signals?

My apartment offers free wireless internet but we have so many users that I can barely get a signal out of it. Is there a way to boost a wireless signal without physically attaching anything to the wireless device itself. I have a PS3 and am trying to get online with it.
 
Before I read the "No physical part" I had an idea. It is the only way to boost it aside from moving it closer. Sorry.
