Bose Home Theater speaker?

Hey, I just want to ask a quick question about my bose home theater speakers.
So yesterday I watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (great movie) and my blu ray player was connected to the speakers. I maxed out the volume and everything sounded good, or should I say amazing! Anyway, can I damage my speakers by listening on very loud volumes. My maximum volume is 80, is it better if I listen it on 76 or is it still too much, if so which level of volume do you recommend? My speaker was a bit warm afterwards is that normal? And I have those double-cube bose speakers are they good?

As long as you don't hear audible distortion from the speakers being overdriven or have large transients (really quiet then suddenly really loud), you should not be damaging the speakers.

And no, anything by Bose is basically overpriced and over-marketed crap. Bose spends a lot of money on marketing their products, so everyone is familiar with the name (which is very expensive). And, because their products are so expensive, people think they're getting a quality product. But, they use cheap inferior materials, then design equalization (tone control) circuits or weird ported speaker cabinets to make up for that. But, the drivers themselves cannot physically reproduce the actual frequencies that your ear can hear. So, Bose products tend to sound tinny and hissy at the high end, nasally in the midrange, and boomy and muddy at the low end.

No highs, no lows ... must be Bose.
