Boyfriend Works on a Cruise Ship?

My boyfriend and I met on vacation last January, I was vacationing to the Bahamas and he was working on a cruise ship and ported there for the week. We decided to try and make it work because we were crazy about eachother. He had 6 months left on the ship and we decided I would go visit him in his country after he got home from the ship. I did, and we realized that it was worth the waiting of 6 months and we were still very much in love. He just went back on the cruise ship for his second contract, 7 months. I am planning to see him in two months as a guest on his ship and then two months after that when he ports for a weekend. We are trying to break it up so we see eachother a few times during this 7 months. This is going to be his last contract because he plans to move to where I live to be with me at the end of it. I love him very much and I trust him I just have been getting a lot of negative input from people who dont know him about how it will never work out because he will end up being tempted on the ship and cheat on me. I dont know much about living on a ship so if anyone had any words of advice that would be great. Thanks :)
 
If it's meant to be, it will work out. If all you're giving up to find out is 7 months of waiting for him, that's not a huge sacrifice if it doesn't.

umm he will NOT be allowed to socialize with you while on board( or on his breaks in port) and if caught doing so he will be immediately fired and removed from the ship. it is STRICTLY forbidden to have relationships with passengers. oh and his work day is about 18 hours long. so unless he ends up being your cabin steward/server in the MDR/Bartender, you will not even get to see him while he's working most likely.
