Yes, Don't listen to jasper.
And only partly listen to Jasper. C
I'll assume you want infantry...
So you'll need a 1.5Mile run time under 10 Minutes
40KG powerbag lift
44 press ups in 2 Minutes
55 Sit ups in 2 Minutes
4 Heaves bare minimum
Jerry can lift (Work on grip)
And good stamina for PT
(The heaves, sit ups and press ups are being phases out at selection due to not being an accurate test, but these are the core exercises of the British Army and you'll do well to make doing them till you break second nature)
I wouldn't advise you to set a Number a day, and DONT do them everyday, you need a days rest for Muscle to build, until you get in at least.
Time yourself doing Max reps in 2 Minutes.
Now this is your Benchmark, you can use this to guide your progress.
Look up a Press up Routine if you like, or go into a Recruitment office for an Army Fitness guide.
You can make your own plan, just ensure that on your last set you are really struggling.
So say if you find 40 comfortable, then do 5-6 sets of 35, if it's too easy, adjust it and vice versa
The same for sit ups and heaves.
I'd always make sure i can not possibly do another rep before i finish the workout.
If you'd like help with Heaves then say and i'll give you a guide, as many young people struggle.
The powerbags are a doddle, just make sure you follow the correct lifting technique otherwise they'll fail you.
And make sure your grip is decent for the jerry can carry (150Metre walk with two 25Lfull jerry can, easy enough)
As far as running goes, you'll want to check your 1.5Mile run time and then build up to running 5 miles a week.
Thus, your heart is used to working at a highrate for longer, making the 1.5 Mile a doddle (Start out any level you like but make sure you build up to atleast hour runs)
Also, you'll want to do circuit training to ready yourself for PT
You don't need a Gym, just set up different 'stations' (Exercises) that get your heart rate up, and keep rotating between them with minimal rest.
Last tip, is Practice leopard crawling, it was quite draining for me first off at P1 as you cannot stop.
Anyway, hope this helps, good luck mate.
