I have a 2007 VW Rabbit that was recently signed over to me and supposedly the valve body is shot. I have no desire to fix this car, I just want to get ride of it. I looked up the bluebook price on it with the bad transmission and it claims it has a trade in value of $5,000. I just want to know, realistically, what can I get for it.
 
400 as scrap metal. I do not know what you mean by valve body. However, I would try for a higher price in the local newspaper seeing it is a 2007, maybe you can score 2500 for it to somebody who wants to fix it.
Bluebook value applies to a car in good condition body and mechanically.
