The kid has broken or closed in on a lot of the Giants (a 100 something year old team with some great players like McCovey and Williams) rookie records and is even threatening to break the franchise record for longest hitting streak (26 games is the Giants record). Not too mention he is hitting the best out of anybody by far this month, with the most RBI's and highest average in all of the leagues. Besides his offense he has performed excellently at catcher and the Giants are no longer a team you can really afford to try and steal off of.

The Giants are something like 17 out of 20 during his hitting streak. Clearly he has made a huge impact for his team, much bigger than any other rookie including Strassburgh.

Anyone else think he will win ROY this year if the east coast actually pays attention to him?
Oh yeah, Josh Johnson couldn't even end his hitting streak, although I wouldn't be surprised to see it end in the near future. It's not easy to maintain a hit a game for 20+ games.
