If you are wishing to create a fiberglass cavity mold for a car audio subwoofer on the side of the trunk for a common passenger car, how would you begin to calculate the internal volume? Granted, the box would be sealed and normally I would use length x width x height / 1728 for a typical square box, however the box would not be perfectly square (has unqiue curves). If you're looking to create a mold and need a volume of 1.25 cubic square feet, how would you calculate this volume? Or, if you are looking to buy a mold, how would you calculate the internal volume to ensure the mold has the proper internal volume to work with the subwoofer?
