Can a relationship between 2 "pitchers" succeed without introducing a 3rd player?

(assuming we all know what I mean)
 
Depends how close they are and how much they are willing to compromise.

i used to be pitcher only but a guy who I was with showed me the benefits of catching and well - I am approx 70% pitch 30% catch now I guess - you just gotta have the right coach ;)
 
Sure it can as long as there is a compromise in the relationship. I say there always has to be compromise. If there is compromise then the relationship can work out just fine.
